CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
European Dependable Computing Conference 2026 (EDCC 2026)
7-10 April 2026
Canterbury, UK
http://edcc.dependability.org
The European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC) is a leading venue for
presenting and discussing the latest research, industrial practices, and
innovations in dependable and secure computing, with a long-standing
tradition that began in 1994 and is now in its 21st edition.
CALL FOR PAPERS
In addition to original research papers, EDCC welcomes contributions on
dependability and security in practice, as well as their applications to
industrial domains. The conference also serves as a natural meeting place for
ongoing dependability and security projects to present their current state of
advancement and innovative results.
> Paper Categories
* Regular papers (up to 8 pages) solicited on theory, techniques, systems,
and tools for designing, validating, operating, and evaluating dependable and
secure computing systems, covering any fault model, from traditional hardware
and software faults to accidental and malicious human interactions.
* Practical experience reports (up to 6 pages) dedicated to dependability and
security in practice, applying tools and techniques to new challenging
problems or domains.
* Industry papers (from 4 up to 6 pages) directly related to industrial use
cases, applicability and scalability issues of recent techniques, novel
technological challenges, and novel applications of practical aspects of
dependability. Most of the authors must be affiliated with the industry.
Papers will undergo the regular review process, but with a high emphasis on
their practical aspects and insights into industrial applications.
* Short papers (up to 4 pages) describing preliminary research work (position
papers) or a description outlining the design or implementation of a tool or
the prototyping of an operational system.
References are included in the page limit for papers submitted to any
category. However, after the paper's acceptance, references will not be
included in the page limit, allowing authors to address the reviewers'
comments better.

CALL FOR FAST ABSTRACTS
Fast Abstracts and Extended Fast Abstracts are lightly-reviewed 2-page and
4-page manuscripts, respectively, describing unpublished, in-progress, novel
work, opinions or ideas that address any issue relevant to EDCC topics. Thus,
(Extended) Fast Abstracts are a good opportunity for authors to share
preliminary results, speculate on new directions to open problems or to
present challenging or controversial issues.
> Important dates
Extended & Fast Abstract Submission 27th January, 2026
Extended & Fast Abstract Notification 24th February, 2026
Camera-ready papers 5th March, 2026
CALL FOR WORKSHOPS
EDCC workshops provide a forum for presenting novel ideas, exchanging
opinions, and discussing preliminary results in a friendly and interactive
environment. They also serve as incubators for specific communities in
dependable and secure computing with common research interests and goals, and
to enable discussions and information sharing between academics and industry
researchers and practitioners.

Workshop Proposal Submission 30th September, 2025
Workshop Acceptance Notification 10th October, 2025
CALL FOR POSTERS
All EDCC2026 attendees are welcome to submit a poster to the EDCC2026 Poster
Session. We solicit two categories of posters:
* Posters that accompany accepted papers (main conference, workshops, student
forum, fast abstracts)
* Stand-alone Posters (not connected to an accepted paper)
> Important dates
Poster Submission 22nd February, 2026
Poster Acceptance Notification 2nd March, 2026
STUDENT FORUM
The EDCC 2026 Student Forum is a vibrant and friendly environment where
students can present and discuss their work, and exchange ideas and
experiences with other students, researchers and industry. Students are
invited to submit papers describing their potential and ongoing research at
any stage, from ideas to results.
